beyondshotz.com - online photo magazine

Today, I found a very informative and colorful monthly online photo magazine www.beyondshotz.com. I have gone through all their issues and content keeps improving with each issue and is very informative. So if you like photography or you are just getting started like me this is a definite bookmark for you.

This month’s issue - March 2006, has ‘Claude Renault’ interview, this was a great read, I have been very impressed by Claude photos at Flickr, now was able to know him better through this article.

Rang De Basanti – A must watch

There are movies that just entertain and there are movies that address a social issue and try to inspire and then there are movies that do both and ‘Rang De Basanti’ does this very well. It has an excellent screenplay and entertains you while showing the countries history and giving a hard hitting message and does this with ease. Music of the movie is top class and so is the acting by the cast of entire movie. Overall this could be one of those movies that you will love and remember for a very long time. This reminds me of a line by Anil in the review that I read in Mid-Day – ‘go see it dude, get inspired, get shaken, but please, please don’t lose control.’

Rating: 4.5 of 5

-- Read beyond this only after watching the movie --
Also (Source: Hindustan Times, Star News) there is a controversy that’s rising that the movie was inspired by a true story of an IAF officer and the producers did not even call officer’s mother to the premiere of the movie. The movie is also alleged that the story is largely modified to be more hard hitting by adding a different approach that family and friends take to correct the allegation on there dead friend.

But since this movie looks to be just inspired and not the life story of the IAF officer, the authors of the script should have that liberty.
